2012 to 2016
Hatch Mott MacDonald was a medium-sized international company. Mott MacDonald Ltd. and Hatch Ltd. joined together to form HMM in 1996. This joint venture pursued transportation and infrastructure projects in North America only, though staff did assist the parent companies with projects overseas.
In 2016, Hatch and Mott MacDonald chose to end the joint venture. The border between Canada and the United States conveniently defined most of the division. Canadian offices became Hatch Infrastructure North America, another business unit in Hatch Ltd. American offices and the Pipelines Division became Mott MacDonald offices. Many members of HMM in Canada who had stronger ties to Mott MacDonald chose to retain those ties and help build Mott MacDonald offices.
HMM is locally known for two major road upgrades and a plethora of rail, port and industrial clients
