As part of the development plan for the upper lands, we needed to install systems to help alleviate concerns about creek flows in the lower lands. Lands closer to the water where the creek grades flattened and people had built without thoughtfully considering the creeks.
This diversion redirected high flows from Rodgers Creek Far East Branch into the piped rainwater network. We had to design a flow control manhole that would allow us to return water back to the creek. We intended to flatten and lengthen the creek hydrograph and return the water to the Far East Branch.
